Born in Boone, North Carolina and raised in Elizabethton, Tennessee; I have always had a profound love for the smokies. I grew up chasing rainbows in the Watauga and Doe rivers and exploring the many small streams that run through those hills. I now reside near Tennessee’s oldest town, Jonesborough. I am fortunate enough to live only minutes from some of the most beautiful streams in the world. In these streams you will find my favorite fish the Southern Appalachian Brook Trout!

Living near and fishing in these amazing fisheries it was only a matter of time before I fell into the wonderful world of fly-fishing. While my knowledge of fly-fishing may be limited; my love and excitment for it is not. In writing this blog I hope to provide a begginers prospective into the world of this unique form of angling.
Along with fly-fishing basics, tips, and tactics I will also be writing about the Smokies. From guides on where to stay when visiting for a fishing trip; to local conservation efforts and news. Be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss out on any of our adventures into the Great Smokey Mountains and beyond!
